8 Nov 2007 - Annual General Meeting
ERTOA held it's 2007 AGM on Thursday 8th November 2007 at the Hobart Function and Conference Centre, Elizabeth Pier, Hobart. The AGM coincided with the National Training Awards. Most members were able to attend the AGM and to attend the Training Awards dinner that night. The AGM dealt with Association matters, elected a new ERTOA Committee and workshopped and agreed on the ERTOA direction for 2008.

2007 General Activities
In 2007 ERTOA has focused on:
- Building and developing relationships with key VET policy makers including DEST, State Training Authorities, Skills Councils and other peak VET groups.
- Ensuring the views of Enterprise RTOs are sought regularly on a range of issues including Fee help, Training Package review, AQTF2007 implementation issues including the ACER and NCVER projects to work with RTOs on quality indicators and completion data..
- Representing the ERTO sector in various VET activities and discussions including conferences, NCVER research selection processes, TP design and review, TAA review and skill set discussions
- Running AQTF 2007 implementation workshops (NSW, Vic and Perth) with support from DEST and NARA staff as speakers. One output from this process will be an ERTOA AQTF 2007 implementation guide.
- Working with the National Audit and Registration Agency to ensure that multi-jurisdictional ERTOs can move to the new body if they chose. NARA staff have attended our AQTF 2007 implementation workshops, are planning to visit members and have invited ERTOA to speak to the first meeting of the new NARA auditors.
- Running engagement breakfast meetings in NSW, Vic, SA and WA to ensure the VET sector understands how ERTOs operate and to introduce potential members to our Association.
- Growing our membership and expanding the industry base of our membership.
- Preparing for our AGM in Hobart to coincide with the National Training Awards. ERTOA will have a table at the Awards for the first time!
16 Nov 2006 - ERTOA Launch
The Hon Gary Hardgraves MP, Federal Minister for Vocational and Technical
Education launched the new Association at 3.00 PM on 16th November 2006 at
a ceremony held at the Adelaide Convention Centre and attended by a large contingent
of Australian VTE and Enterprise leaders.
